The benefit of getting a college degree seems to have become nothing more than the table stakes required to even get a job interview with many companies. The question is, "How long will that prerequisite continue, and if so, to what degree?"
I was born after the civil rights movement in America had crossed the chasm and made SIGNIFICANT progress towards equal rights for people of color. I was spared the pain of living in a world that was so openly hateful. Unfortunately I can't say as much for the LGBT community.
Religious? Faithful? Spiritual? How do you define what you believe? Do you have strong beliefs? Did you choose your faith or religion or did you inherit it? Do you feel that your beliefs are the "true path to enlightenment/righteousness/salvation/whatever"?
I recently overheard a family at a table next to me having a discussion about the nonexistence of aliens or extraterrestrial life. As with many things in life I have an opinion and sometimes it's ok to share it with others but most times it is not. This was definitely one of those times where it was best for me to keep my mouth shut.
I think way back in the dark days, voicemail was at some point useful. Today however, leaving people voicemail is downright mean.
